Privacy Policy
ATLAS holds real financial information about you, so this page matters. Here's exactly what we collect, why, where it lives and what we'll never do with it.
The short version
We collect what you give us and how you use the app, we use it to run ATLAS for you and make it better, and that's the whole story. We never sell your data, we don't run ads, and there are no third-party trackers in the app. Ask us any time what we hold about you, and ask us to delete it whenever you want.
Who we are
ATLAS is a LVL UP company, operated from Victoria, Australia. We benchmark how we handle your information against the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For anything privacy related, email andy@l3veluponline.com.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your passcode. We can never see the passcode itself.
- The numbers you enter. Income, expenses, savings, loans, goals, properties you assess and the plans you build. This is the point of the app, and it's the most sensitive thing we hold, so it gets the most care.
- How you use the app. Which sections you visit, how long you're active and which features you use. During testing this helps us see what works and what people get stuck on.
- What you tell us. Feedback, bug reports and survey answers you choose to send.
- Technical basics. Your IP address, used for security and to stop abuse of the login and signup forms.
What we use it for
- Running the app: your scores, plans and projections are built from your numbers.
- Improving the product: usage and feedback shape what gets fixed and built.
- Talking to you: account emails like confirmations and sign-in links, and during testing the occasional message about the app.
- Security: spotting and blocking abuse.
That's the full list. We don't use your information for advertising and we don't build profiles of you for anyone else.
What we never do
- Sell your data, in any form, to anyone, ever.
- Share your financial information with advertisers, data brokers or other users.
- Run third-party ad trackers or analytics scripts in the app.
Who touches your data
A small set of service providers process data so the app can run: our hosting provider (Netlify), our database provider and our email delivery provider (Resend). Some of their servers are overseas, mainly in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed there. We only use providers with serious security practices, and they process data to provide their service, nothing more.
Beyond that, we'd only disclose information if the law required it.
How it's protected
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passcodes are hashed, sessions are signed, and each account's data is walled off so one user can't reach another's. Access on our side is limited to what's needed to run and support the app. No system on earth is breach-proof, but if something ever went wrong that put your data at risk, we'd tell you promptly and plainly.
How long we keep it
While your account exists, we keep what you've entered so the app keeps working for you. If a testing access window ends, your account locks but nothing is deleted, so coming back later brings it all straight back. If you want out properly, email us and we'll delete your account and its data.
Your rights
Email us and we'll show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete the lot. No forms and no fees.
If you think we've mishandled your information and we haven't sorted it after you've raised it with us, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies
ATLAS uses one cookie: the signed session cookie that keeps you logged in. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Age
ATLAS is for adults. It isn't directed at anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
This policy will evolve as ATLAS does, including after our planned legal review. Material changes get flagged in the app or by email, and the date below updates.
